B Output Types

Output Types #

  • Burned Area (BA@centroid): Select Monthly to create monthly raster data showing the burned area for each event.

  • Fire Frequency (Fq@centroid): Select both Daily and Monthly options to generate raster outputs showing how often fires occur in each pixel on a daily and monthly scale.

  • Fractional Burned Area (FB): If desired, check the Monthly option to generate raster data representing the fraction of the pixel area that was burned. This can provide more detailed information on the extent of fire damage.

  • The sub-divider controls the precision of the output. A value of 33 means the pixel is divided into smaller units, providing a precision of 0.1% of the burned area in a pixel (33x33 = 1089, providing 1/1089 ≈ 0.1%). The finer precision the more time it will take to process.

Click Open next to the Output Folder field to choose the directory where the output raster files will be saved. The system automatically generates folders for each output type -Label_BA_monthly, Label_FB_monthly, Label_Fq_daily, and Label_Fq_monthly. FB contains Fractional Burned Area, while Fq contains fire frequency data.

Once everything is configured, click the Run button to start the process. The progress bar will indicate the status, and when complete, the status will change to Finish.
